The core of the basic curriculum revolves around the spiritual, intellectual, cultural, social, and emotional needs of the students. Through music, art, literature, poetry, and drama students experience and appreciate the gifts of many cultures. Teachers plan meaningful and practical learning activities that develop critical thinking and problem solving skills. Our up-to-date computer lab and access to the Internet provide opportunities for students to become proficient users of technology. Our well-stocked library is available for student research and reading enjoyment.

-----To assist the working family we offer an After School Program supervised by our professional staff. This program is balanced with game and playtime, arts and crafts, homework time, and field trips.

SCHOOL SCHEDULE
-----The school day begins at 8:00 AM and ends at 2:30 PM, Monday through Friday. Parents are provided with monthly school calendars.

WHERE STUDENTS RESIDE
-----Student reside primarily in Cambridge & Somerville, but also in Belmont, Concord, Arlington, Billerica, E. Boston, Chelsea, Dorchester, Everett, Malden, Medford, Roslindale, Stoneham, and Winchester.

TRANSPORTATION

-----The MBTA Bus #83, Man in the Van, or carpools, are widely used by the student population.

HEALTH SERVICES
-----A nursing clinic is available to all Saint Catherine of Genoa students. The clinic is equipped to provide treatment of minor medical problems.

LUNCH
-----A daily, affordable lunch program is provided at the school.
