Mother's Day: The Universal Holiday
Even though it seems like Christmas and New Years were only just here, it's already almost time for Mother's Day in the States: The holiday will occur on the second Sunday in May. But U.S. residents aren't the only ones who observe Mother's Day on that Sunday. Anguilla, Jamaica, Australia, Malaysia, Austria, Finland, the Bahamas, Bangladesh, Pakistan, Belgium, Belize, Denmark, Bermuda, Japan, Brazil, Honduras, Brunei, Iceland, Bulgaria and many others also do.
That's probably why, starting in March or April, so many folks go online looking for printable vintage Mother's Day cards, free Mother's Day clip art, free Mother's Day certificate templates and other related items. Not all children have the money to buy Mothers Day presents, invitations and decorations, so freebies like these are their next best option. In reality, however, using vintage Mother's Day cards, printable decorations and clip art requires a bit of talent. So those might be a little challenging to use unless you're used to working with images or crafts. The free Mothers Day certificates are a piece of cake though. All you have to do is print one, sign it and give it to your mom.
May Isn't the Only Month for Moms

There are also versions of Mother's Day, called Parents' Day, which is celebrated on May 8 in South Korea and Albania, and The Mothers and Children's Day, which is celebrated in Mongolia on June 1.
It's pretty clear that the urge to honor Mother is a fairly universal calling, given that virtually every nation on Earth has some form of Mother's Day celebration. It's heartwarming to note that even people in locations that may seem like adversaries to us have the common bond of paying homage to the women who gave birth to them.
